Overview:
Founded in the late 1800s, Preston Gates & Ellis LLP (Preston Gates) is the second largest law firm in the Pacific Northwest and one of the region's most prestigious. In early 2002, in order to meet its expansion needs, Preston Gates decided to relocate its Seattle office to a new building then under construction only a few blocks away. The firm's 15-year-old PBX telephone system was outdated; it provided voice communication with ironclad reliability. The company decided to implement an end-to-end Cisco network built around Cisco Architecture for Voice, Video, and Integrated Data (AVVID).
