Overview:
The goal to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs through technology is an ongoing effort for businesses of all sizes, but more importantly for the Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB). Over the past two years, customers have been moving from a strictly cost-cutting mode of operation to investment in applications that will simplify operations and increase revenues. These include real-time applications for voice, collaborative applications for videoconferencing and Web conferencing, or basic Web applications for sales-management and inventory-tracking tools. This paper focuses on how an SMB can quickly and cost-effectively add IP Communications capabilities and services - including call processing, voice mail, automated-attendant services, and other IP phone applications as part of an integrated network infrastructure.
