This paper documents an installation and configuration of IBM Tivoli System Automation on IBM AIX to provide high availability for a DB2 Universal DataBase (UDB) Balanced Configuration Unit (BCU). It provides the information that is needed to enable high availability quickly for an AIX DB2 environment. It is of special interest to those who intend to provide high availability for a DB2 database BCU that is running on the AIX platform.
