Overview:

This paper is intended to identify challenges and opportunities that present themselves with respect to maintaining and improving the quality of workers compensation data. It will explain the value and nature of workers compensation data commonly collected and used by The Workers Compensation Insurance Organizations (WCIO) members. The paper presents a discussion of data quality standards applicable to actuarial and data management disciplines in companies, third party administrators, consultants, and any other entity actively involved in the management of data, in particular workers compensation data.
