Overview:

Formed in December 1996, Suncorp-Metway Ltd. (Suncorp) is Australia's sixth largest bank and fourth largest general insurance group. In 2001, Suncorp acquired Australian Mutual Provident Society's GIO general insurance business. The acquisition meant Suncorp needed to integrate 2,000 new staff members into Suncorp's existing systems and business processes. They wanted to do this quickly and with as little downtime for training as possible. For the integration to be successful, Suncorp needed a way to aggregate corporate data and ensure consistent information delivery via a single, secure point of access. To centralise information access to data, content, and applications, Suncorp chose CleverPath Portal from Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA).
