Overview:

With a market share of more than 18%, BILLA is the leader in grocery retail in Austria. Because of the high number of branches, there is an enormous number of IT assets and inventory such as cash-desks, ATM machines, printers, PCs and screens, which need to be managed and controlled. The task was, on the one hand, to review the complete life cycle of fixed assets and on the other hand, to automate re-occurring activities in a workflow system. To ensure the solution is future-proof, BILLA wanted to use standardised technologies as often as possible. After comprehensive analysis, in the Autumn of 2003, BILLA chose a modern asset management solution from Softlab based on the Remedy AR System.
