Overview:
Manchester United Football Club, the English Premiership soccer club, has more than 50 million fans worldwide. The club and its commercial partners wanted to get know the spending habits and interactions of as many supporters as possible to offer them an improved range of merchandise and other offerings, from ticketing to financial services. To achieve this, Manchester United approached Dimension Data, a Microsoft Certified Partner, to plan, design, and implement a redeveloped portal and a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as the core data repository.
