Overview:
Ashok Leyland Finance Ltd. (ALF) is part of the Hinduja Group conglomerate in India. ALF standardized on the Microsoft Windows NT Server operating system as early as 1996. Because of this, ALF has enabled a complete backbone of information technology to support business processes and decision making. A mid-sized business on a fast track to growth, ALF was opening new offices across the country. The team at the headquarters spent a large part of their time consolidating and distributing relevant information across locations. To manage the growing data, improve performance, and reduce administrative overhead, ALF management decided to upgrade their database systems to Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition.
