Overview:
Oracle Internet Directory offers two types of groups to assign and manage membership - namely, static and dynamic Groups. Dynamic groups can be defined using labeledURI attribute or CONNECT BY assertion. As of Oracle Internet Directory 10.1.4.0.1 Release, dynamic groups using labeledURI attribute are cached and offer equivalent performance as compared with static groups. This paper provides an overview of dynamicgroups usage in conjunction with Portal 10.1.4.and how to leverage the labeledURI based dynamic groups for better manageability.
