Overview:

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Labour (BMWA) is responsible for executing European trade law in Austria. Senior civil servants wanted to offer better services to businesses and people by improving the efficiency of their public Web portal. Working with EDS, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for security solutions, BMWA deployed Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002. It also standardised its messaging system on Microsoft Exchange Server 2000. This has significantly lowered total cost of ownership, helped employees to update Web content flexibly and quickly, and helped BMWA serve its customers more efficiently. MCMS 2002 ensures that no incorrect information can be published online, thanks to a workflow bound to the security structure of the Active Directory service.
