Overview:

As margins on equipment have become narrower, many companies in the IT industry have moved away from traditional "Box-shifting" roles and focused increasingly on value-added services. One such firm is SCC, a leading pan-European IT services provider headquartered in the UK. Close customer relationships are integral to SCC's service-oriented business model, but the company realised some time ago that such relationships could not be built on desktop technology alone. This realisation prompted a successful move into enterprise storage and servers. Nevertheless, competition in this sector is intense. SCC wanted to compete more effectively for enterprise deals involving value-added services based around HP technology. Having become an HP Preferred Partner, SCC joined the new HP Partner for Growth Programme.
