Fewer users running with administrator privileges is a worthy goal in most IT organizations. But while IT administrators generally agree that restricting users to a standard user account is the way to go, about 80 percent deploy their desktops with admin accounts, making those machines more susceptible to malware and harder to manage. But it's not that easy to avoid the admin account. The potential obstacles a person will face if he tries are numerous. Fortunately Windows Vista addresses these concerns.
