Overview:
DaimlerChrysler's MOPAR division manages 26 Parts Distribution Centers (PDCs) in North America. Until recently, different non-realtime systems ran the national and field warehouses in this network. The cost to maintain these two different systems and their aging "Batch" designs prompted MOPAR to seek a single, realtime system that could run all the organization's distribution centers. IBM Business Consulting Services created Distribution View (DView) to help the after-market parts distributor manage its 26 North American distribution centers, which are responsible for distributing parts to a network of 5,300 dealers across North America.
