Overview:

D.A.S. Osterr. Allg. Rechtsschutz-Versicherungs A.G. (D.A.S. Austria) is a liability insurance provider that processes 40,000 cases annually. The company had outgrown its nearly obsolete IT infrastructure comprised of the Microsoft Windows NT Server operating system version 4.0, Novell Netware servers, and a third-party mail solution with no collaboration functionality. The manual processes required for this decentralized domain topology consumed too much time and money, and employees had to search through file servers for information they needed. D.A.S. Austria migrated to a Microsoft Windows Server System solution and increased functionality by 20 percent. Installing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, Windows XP Professional, and Office Professional Edition 2003 on the desktop delivered a robust messaging and collaboration solution that boosted employee productivity by 10 percent.
