Chunghwa Telecom's critical IT strategy is to adopt advanced, outstanding IT technology to support their growing innovative services for customers. Facing increasing pressure from the Telecom Service Trouble Reporting Information System, Chunghwa Telecom decided to look for a better IT technology with acceptable price/performance to not only upgrade their current system but also to meet their service innovation roadmap requirements. The company implemented the advanced Itanium 2 - based HP Integrity server running BEA WebLogic in order to upgrade the 112 Trouble Reporting Information System, implemented at all major MIS centers, including the north-TWN, the central-TWN, and the south-TWN center.
