Overview:
Mobile applications are rapidly gaining importance. However, when developing these applications, one notices that existing design methodologies and tools do not sufficiently support these new classes of applications. This paper takes a closer look at the distinguishing features between mobile design and "Traditional" software design. The authors argue that a mobile design methodology is needed and identify key issues that such a methodology needs to support. Finally, the paper proposes the development of a handbook for mobile application design.
