Overview:
Vague RFPs are a fact of development life. In some cases, the company that provided the RFP doesn't know how to write one. Other times, it's fishing for ideas to try to figure out what it wants. If you can guide such clients through the process of defining their needs and help them build a realistic plan, you'll wind up with an effective document and increased client loyalty. A good first step is to learn how to interpret some of the fuzzy language that appears in RFPs. That way, you'll be better equipped to zero in on what the client really needs.
