Overview:
McCarran International Airport handles nearly 70,000 passengers and more than 460 flights each day, making it the 7th busiest airport in the country according to Airports Council International. When officials at McCarran International Airport made the commitment to improve customer safety and satisfaction, they knew it was going to be an extremely difficult task to identify and implement the optimal solution in just months. Baggage processing procedures were quickly identified as a significant concern and a primary element in need of an immediate and pervasive overhaul. McCarran International Airport and Symbol set out to create an efficient, cost-effective and accurate baggage tracking system to support the TSA objective of screening all passenger baggage.
