Overview:

TETRA provides efficient and secure group voice and data communication. In addition to transactional data solutions for public safety, it also supports wireless browsing, e-mail, automatic vehicle location and fingerprint resolution. Visual information such as maps, digital pictures and slow motion video can be transmitted over second- and third-generation digital radio networks, but these are too slow when transmitted over current TETRA data.
