Overview:
Symbian OS provides developers with many options for creating rich multimedia and delivering it to consumers. This white paper examines how to use the capabilities of Symbian OS to play video content. The paper will be of interest to developers who work with Symbian C++ video applications. The Symbian OS v7.0s (and platforms based on it, for example, Series 60 Platform 2nd Edition) utilizes a new middleware component called the Multimedia Framework (MMF) to perform all video playback (both local and streamed) operations.
