Overview:

There are 214 Hyatt hotels and resorts around the world, which are managed by two separate groups of companies. Hyatt International needed a global network integrator that could provide it with a turnkey solution but was doubtful that it could find one company that could do all that it needed. Hyatt wanted to be able to focus on its core business so that it could continue to grow and develop innovative hotel management applications. Telstra provided Hyatt with a global services package linking Hyatt International's Chicago headquarters to its overseas hotels. The network includes high-speed IP connectivity between its Chicago headquarters and 50 hotels located throughout Europe, the Middle East, the Asia Pacific region and Latin America. Many more managed hotels will be given the opportunity to join the global network over time.
