Overview:

Following years of turbulence, the mobile industry is finally showing signs of recovery. Mobile appears to be back in favor with the stock market, with prices appreciating relative to the market and fixed-line average. Despite leading markets being close to saturation, particularly in Western Europe, growth in the mobile industry is expected to continue. However, the mobile industry is becoming increasingly competitive. Competition in the mobile market is now more akin to that of retail and banking than the type of rivalry facing mobile operators' fixed-line predecessors.
