Overview:
At Eli Lilly and Company, the success of its innovative pharmaceutical products is measured in the Indianapolis-based drug manufacturer's ability to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The challenge was to accelerate the drug-development process to get products to patients faster while ensuring that FDA standards are met every step of the way. Lilly has relied on SAS for 30 years to bring new medications to patients more quickly, to provide evidence of drug safety and efficacy to regulatory bodies, to provide answers about the use of its products, to increase understanding of disease states and to improve its manufacturing processes as well as sales and marketing efforts.
