Overview:
Over the last decade, companies have been slowly realizing that the World Wide Web represents both a pivotal new source of information on their customers and game-changing technology that will augment their current business operations. In response to this recognition, companies are showing interest in technology that tells them what is happening online and leverages it to improve their deliverable or value. This paper presents a project at IBM Research, commissioned by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), to leverage deep Web data to help them stay in touch with their client base.
