Overview:

Microsoft Dynamics AX and the Enterprise Portal framework include customizable home pages called Role Centers. Role Centers provide an overview of information that pertains to a user's job function in the business or organization, including reports generated by SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services. This paper describes how to configure Kerberos authentication for Role Center pages in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. Kerberos is a network authentication protocol that allows Windows integrated authentication to occur across multiple computers (a client and multiple servers). NTLM authentication is an alternative to Kerberos authentication, and it is based on a challenge-response mechanism between a client and a server.
