Overview:
This white paper provides guidelines and data gathered from testing an Exchange Server 2007 disaster-tolerant solution from HP that meets a recovery point objective equal to zero: no data loss of committed data in case of server or storage failure or in case of a site disaster. The tested solution consisted of a geographically dispersed environment utilizing Microsoft Majority Node Set clusters (MNS), HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVA4400), HP StorageWorks Continuous Access array-based synchronous data replication, and HP StorageWorks Cluster Extension for EVA (CLX). The project scope was to develop a set of best practices for HP StorageWorks Cluster Extension and HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array EVA4400 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 on a Windows Server 2008 environment.
