The HP StorageWorks Secure Key Manager (SKM) provides a secure, centralized Encryption Appliance which is an LTO4 key management solution for data encryption environments, and merges seamlessly into an HP enterprise tape library configuration using encryption-capable HP StorageWorks LTO4 tape drives. Its user guide provides the necessary information for configuring the SKM, but users might have more in-depth questions about the capabilities and requirements for using the SKM in specific instances. The HP StorageWorks SKM Best Practices Guide will answer many of those questions and provide guidance as to how to keep SKM key management environment in optimal condition.
