Overview:

Westminster City Council has a national reputation in the United Kingdom for innovation in delivering services to a diverse community in central London. Its Children's Services Department wanted to improve performance monitoring by, and collaboration between, its social workers - ensuring the protection of children at risk. Following a successful pilot programme, the council implemented Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 - the corporate performance management solution from Microsoft. Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 integrates with Microsoft collaboration and database management systems, providing a holistic view of critical information. Social workers now have a single view of all data about vulnerable children. Whereas daily monitoring of children at risk previously took a social worker between 20 minutes and an hour, it now it takes seconds.
