Overview:

HP and Quantum have verified that StorNext v3.5 installs and runs on the HP 9100 Extreme Data Storage infrastructure as outlined above. The HP ExDS NFS appliance passed all functional tests acting as a 2nd tier storage device for StorNext. Performance seemed to be consistent within the limitations of the configuration used for the functional test. This solution represents a compelling solution for those customers looking for a cost-effective disk archive for image and video unstructured data. HP and Quantum recommend a proof-of-concept implementation using this tested configuration as a matter of best practice for all deployments. HP recommends that this configuration be tested and analyzed as similar to the production environments as possible to determine the performance and scalability characteristics of the defined configuration.
