Overview:
Lionsgate, in Santa Monica, CA, is one of the leading independent producer and distributors of motion pictures, television programming, entertainment, video-on-demand and digitally delivered content. The IT department was concerned that the demand for information could easily outgrow the ability of their technology to deliver reports. Since information is the lifeblood of the company, this was a serious challenge that had to be met while still upholding Lionsgate's goal of being agile and cost-effective at all times. Working with IBM Premier Business Partner Direct Systems Support, Lionsgate selected the IBM Systems Solution for SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse Accelerator, comprising an IBM BladeCenter with four IBM HS21 blade servers and an IBM System Storage DS4700 Express.
