Overview:

Arctic Group is a trading company based in Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands, which supplies a wide range of goods and services to businesses and consumers in Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Supplying a range of 155,000 products to remote communities in Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands is a major logistical challenge for Arctic Group, complicated by distance and changing weather conditions. Accurate forward planning is vital - but without proper IT support, planning cycles were labour-intensive and could take up to two and a half months per year. Arctic Group implemented IBM Cognos Business Intelligence and IBM Cognos Planning. The solution gives key employees real-time access to sales, logistics and finance information via graphical dashboards and reporting tools, etc.
