SoftJam is an information and communications technology consultancy headquartered in Genoa, Italy, and with offices in Milan, Italy. Founded in 1996, the company has 75 employees. Its primary driver was to deploy new technologies as soon as possible so that it can offer customers the best solutions available on the market. SoftJam also requires that its technology systems meet the company's standards for energy conservation. In April 2009, the company began upgrading to the Windows 7 operating system in order to gain first-hand knowledge and prepare for customer deployments. As a result of the upgrade, the company is benefiting from enhanced IT security, reduced power consumption, and simplified IT management.
