Overview:
The presenter of this webcast will explore how Windows Server 2008 R2 saves IT costs by using Virtualization technologies to consolidate servers, improve availability, improve manageability of Hyper-V servers, and simplified deployment methods for virtual machines and physical machine deployments. First the presenter will discuss Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V features that consolidate servers. The topics include simplified deployment features and hardware support. Then the presenter will discuss Failover Clustering Live Migration feature that fails over share cluster vm's to ensure servers are available 24/7. Then the presenter will discuss reducing deployment costs using Microsoft Assessment and Planning Accelerator, System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 to provision Hyper-V on physical and vm machines.
