Overview:

For British Energy to migrate its electricity-trading application infrastructure from a proprietary platform to an industry-standard one, to improve its agility, resilience, and scalability, and to simplify operations. As a solution they deployed HP PolyServe Software for Microsoft SQL Server; HP ProLiant DL585 G2 Servers; HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Arrays 4000 systems (EVA4000); HP StorageWorks Continuous Access EVA software. British Energy now has a high-performing, highly available, scalable trading infrastructure, capable of 24x7 reliable operation. It has moved from a legacy hardware and software environment into an industry-standard one, reducing costs, increasing reliability, and reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
