Overview:

The Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) is a private lobbying organization that provides counsel on international and local business issues for 12,000 member companies. Technology is essential to enabling its 670 employees to exchange information with the members who fund the organization. With just seven people on the IT infrastructure staff, DI needed a more efficient and cost-effective way to deploy and manage the servers on which its communication system depends. Using the Windows Server 2008 Datacenter operating system with Hyper-V and solutions from the Microsoft System Center suite, DI cut the time needed to deploy servers from one month to 30 minutes, reduced its server count by 40 percent while expanding its server environment, and simplified management of its virtual and physical infrastructure.
