Overview:

Pearson wanted to cut monthly close times by standardizing and consolidating financial reporting for three major global businesses and reduce software licensing and management costs. The challenge was to build transparent, consistent, agile financial management and planning infrastructure to gain real-time enterprise performance visibility and increase competitive advantage and ensure compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) requirements. Pearson upgraded from multiple instances and versions of Oracle's Hyperion Enterprise to a single global instance of Oracle's Hyperion Financial Management and rolled out Hyperion Financial Management to 300 reporting units in 60 global locations using 80 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environments.
