Overview:
Maximizing the use of computing resources while reducing the "Carbon Footprint" of an organization's IT infrastructure is the goal of green computing. Depending upon the goals and needs of organization, some green computing solutions may fit, others may not. This paper takes a look at some of the aspects of going green such as considerations regarding the infrastructure component, facilities, consumables options, developing a green strategy, and incenting behavioral changes.
