Overview:

Microsoft Word 2007 has been designed in a way that allows it to interact directly with SharePoint. In many instances, it is possible for users to interact with the document library without even having to open the SharePoint site through their Web browser. Here are some of the changes that have been made to Microsoft Word and SharePoint 2007 that affect the way these two products interact with each other.
