Overview:

The Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) is a best practices blueprint for achieving high availability and performance using Oracle technologies. This MAA white paper provides practical configuration and deployment techniques for creating disaster recovery topologies using disk replication for the middle tier and Oracle Data Guard for the databases in the data tier. The Enterprise Deployment topology for Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 10g Release 4 is used as an example in this paper; however the concepts and procedures described here are applicable when creating disaster recovery topologies for other supported Oracle Application Server 10g products deployed on certified versions of the Oracle WebLogic Server.
