This paper describes how to quickly configure and deploy the Sun Storage 7110 Unified Storage System (also referred to as "Appliance") for Symantec Enterprise Vault and how to set up a File System Archive (FSA). A quick introduction is provided on how to configure the Sun Storage 7110 Unified Storage System to be used as a vault store target for Symantec Enterprise Vault 8.0. The information about the setup and configuration of the Sun Storage 7110 Unified Storage System also works with Symantec Enterprise Vault 2007. Due to the fact that all the products in the Sun Storage 7000 Unified Storage System family provide the same web-based GUI, this guide applies to the entire family.
