How does one glue all the disparate services staff need into one personal IT experience and let them work faster, smarter, and more effectively? That was the challenge facing BT Group plc, a world leader in communications. The answer was 'my.bt.com' - an innovative enterprise portal, collaborative community, and composite set of applications, all based on a service infrastructure. As part of a flexible Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) strategy for my.bt.com, BT deployed Oracle WebCenter Interaction, part of Oracle WebCenter Suite, to provide a valuable layer of infrastructure software for more effectively connecting back-end systems with users, harnessing the true potential of both 18,000 BT staff and existing IT investments.
