Overview:

Sercomtel S.A. Telecomunicacoes wanted to Comply with fiscal and tax regulations, as well as requirements imposed by Brazil's national telecommunications agency, Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes and make company systems compatible with the digital accounting public system, Sistema Publico de Escrituracao Digital, and with activity-based costing. The challenge was to increase financial transparency as required by the company's status as a public sector organization. Sercomtel S.A. Telecomunicacoes worked with Oracle Partner Sunrising Consulting to migrate to upgrade PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management to Version 8.9 to consolidate tax and accounting processes and enhance information updates in these areas and enabled the organization to quickly adapt to changing regulations, as well as ensure greater financial transparency with Oracle's planning and budgeting and cash management modules.
