The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) are intended for use by merchants, financial processors, point-of-sale vendors, and banks, credit unions and other financial institutions that transmit, process and/or store credit cardholder data. This paper is intended to assist such companies to understand: how the standards apply to Managed File Transfer (MFT) products in general, and how the MOVEit MFT software products by Ipswitch can help them to both achieve and demonstrate compliance with the standards. This paper begins with overviews of the PCI DSS and the MOVEit Central client and MOVEit DMZ server products, and then goes into detail about the individual MFT-related DSS, together with explanations of how the MOVEit product capabilities assist with or enable compliance.
