Overview:

Wombat's PhishGuru embedded training system teaches users to avoid falling for phishing attacks by delivering a training message when the user clicks on the URL in a simulated phishing email that it delivered to users' inboxes. It validated the effectiveness of this approach in a series of laboratory and real-world empirical studies. It reported here on two studies conducted at the CyLab Usable Privacy and Security Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University as well as on a real-world study conducted with Carnegie Mellon students, faculty, and staff.
