Overview:
Vaillant, the heating technology specialist, has expanded through acquisitions in Europe. Its IT subsidiary, VAICON was tasked to develop an integrated company-wide IT platform based on established standards, which would enable it to offer centralised IT services to all countries. As part of an extension of its outsourcing contract with all Vaillant concerns, HP took over from the Infrastructure and Network Division of SAP. The HP Service Lifecycle Management (SLcM) solution has automated the provision of IT services, from order placement through acceptance, delivery and handover. This solution also provides cost transparency through the 'Pay-per-use' principle. HP Utility Sourcing Services (USS), which can be scaled either up or down to suit a company's needs, were also employed.
