Overview:
One of the UK's oldest learning institutions, Sevenoaks School was founded in 1432 by William Sevenoke, then Mayor of London. School wanted to future-proof its network to allow new IP-based applications, such as IP Telephony and videoconferencing. The school was keen to create Virtual LANs (VLANs) to enhance network security and to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive materials. The School deployed 3Com Switch 7700, 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 4400, 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 4200 and 3Com Wireless LAN Access Point 8000. Sevenoaks School is confident that with the new network core in place it has a technology platform that will support any requirements it might have in future.
